The Administrative Team

Glenys first came to Conroy as a patient growing up, and liked it so much that she now has a job here! As a comedian, actor, and trainer with the Canadian Improv Games, she knows better than anyone the importance of a smile! A stickler for timing, she takes pride in scheduling appointments, finding quick answers to your questions, and answering calls with a sunny hello. She is also the fierce and faithful protector of the office toy chest. To the children reading this: the tooth fairy is real, and she believes in YOU!

The Hygiene Team

If you’re seeking a polished, poised, and positively proficient person to do your cleanings, look no further than Hannah! Originally from Toronto, Hannah moved to Ottawa to attend Ottawa University, as well as receive her diploma from the Canadian National Institute of Health. She prides herself on providing the right educational tools to maintain her patient’s best oral health, and seeks out proactive and preventative solutions that are easy to implement everyday at home. She is bilingual (french), and is famously quick-thinking! When she’s not chasing after her toddler, Hannah loves to be outdoors, whether it’s snowboarding, swimming, or spending time at her cottage.

Sophia joined Conroy Dental in 1992 and has been a steadfast and hardworking team member since, treating and helping generations of our practice’s patients and family members improve their oral health. Sophia began her career as a certified dental assistant after attending Carleton University and receiving her Dental Assisting Certificate from Algonquin College. After working for seven years chairside, she returned to Algonquin College and completed the Dental Hygiene Program. Sophia is extremely passionate about her role as a hygienist. She is always looking to improve her craft, and hone her skills in order to provide the most comprehensive treatment to improve her patients’ oral hygiene and overall health. She has completed many continuing education courses including receiving her Diode Laser Certificate for gum therapy and LVI (Las Vegas Institute) Periodontal Certificate. When she is not working, Sophie enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

The Dental Assistants

Ashley believes that a visit to the dentist should begin and end with a smile, and nobody sets a better example than her! She is a graduate of Algonquin College and has her certification as a Level 2 Dental Assistant. She wears many hats around the office, seating and screening patients, keeping track of supplies, and helping the dentists, hygienists and admins alike. Her experience as a personal support worker, partnered with her super-mom abilities ensure outstanding communication and care for everyone, ages 2 to 102! If you appreciate resourcefulness, patience, and true enthusiasm for one’s work, then Ashley is sure to be a fast friend! In addition to gardening and painting, she can be found watching very tasteful amounts of reality TV.

The Doctors

Dr. Laryssa Caris

It is often said that a DENTIST is a finely balanced combination of a Doctor, an ENgineer and an arTIST, and if you’ve ever seen Dr. Caris work, you would know that this is true.

Having grown up in Ottawa, Dr. Caris completed her dental degree at the University of Western Ontario, and was eager to continue developing her passion for dentistry in her home town. She has been working with the incredible team at Conroy Dental Centre since 2014 and feels that this office truly is her dental home. Dr. Caris, a constant learner, actively participates in ongoing continuing education, completing courses, seminars and training in all facets of dentistry- keeping her on the leading edge.  Dr. Caris aims to educate and empower her patients through active listening, communication and attention to detail; encouraging active discussion about their current oral health and what can be done to make it even better!

When not in the office, Dr. Caris can be found enjoying time with her husband and two young boys, watching movies, dancing, cooking up a storm (but not being very good at washing dishes), and spending time outdoors.

Dr. Frédéric Lê

When he was accepted to Laval University for his dental studies, Dr. Frédéric Lê knew without a doubt in his mind that he wanted to return to Ottawa to practice. Despite being born in Montreal; he considers Ottawa as the city that nurtured him in to becoming the person that he is today.

He is methodical and attentive to details, a skill that he acquired when he was completing his Bachelor of Science in Biopharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Ottawa. This quality allows him to be thorough during dental treatments, and to develop his passion in photography and cooking.

Dr. Lê is a great communicator and will establish a relationship of trust between the patient and himself. He will take the time to listen to the patient’s need and explain the best possible treatment plan so that the patient can make the most informed decision. Since his graduation in 2013, Dr. Lê actively participates in continuing education courses in various fields of dentistry so that he can provide the highest level of care to his patients.

Outside of office hours, Dr. Lê practices many extreme sports such as “changing diapers one handed with a wiggling baby”, and mentally challenging games such as “negotiating bedtime hours and stories”.
