Our goal is to have everyone leave their appointment feeling confident in their oral health, and to make each and every visit a pleasant one! We know that visiting the dentist can be stressful, so your comfort will always be our biggest priority-as well as your teeth, of course!
We are always looking for ways to improve our services, so if you ever have any questions, concerns or recommendations, feel free to inform any one of our team members, and the matter will be looked into promptly. The Administrative Team
Janice
Whether she’s getting you ready for your very first appointment or welcoming you into your hundredth, Janice will always be there to lend a hand and make you smile. Born and raised in Pembroke, she has trained as a chairside assistant (she knows her stuff!) and graduated from Career Canada in 1995 with a focus in administration. Many of our patients remember Janice from when she worked at Conroy back in 2008! She describes her work as “very rewarding”, though we think her excellent communication with patients deserves an award in itself. As an insurance whiz and effectual treatment coordinator, she’s getting you the care you need with the least amount of stress. Janice is a self-taught painter of nature, which unsurprisingly, she loves to be out in, especially if she’s with her adorable grandkids!
Kathy
It’s important that your experience at the dentist is smooth sailing, and Kathy keeps the water calm! She brings with her 15 years of admin experience, and a natural talent for service and organization. After growing up in Brighton Ontario, she attended Loyalist College in Belleville for business and accounting, resulting in her numeracy and tech-savviness! The only thing she loves more than connecting with people is her colour-coded schedule, and making sure your appointment is right on time. You can often find Kathy walking her Great Dane, and eating spicy food. No like, really spicy food. Her goal? To finally master the WaterPik! We believe in you Kath!
The Hygiene Team
Hannah
If you’re seeking a polished, poised, and positively proficient person to do your cleanings, look no further than Hannah! Originally from Toronto, Hannah moved to Ottawa to attend Ottawa University, as well as receive her diploma from the Canadian National Institute of Health. She prides herself on providing the right educational tools to maintain her patient’s best oral health, and seeks out proactive and preventative solutions that are easy to implement everyday at home. She is fluent in french, and is famously quick-thinking! When she’s not chasing after her toddler, Hannah unwinds by snowboarding, swimming, or spending time at her cottage.
Gabriela
Gabriela is a skilled dental hygienist who graduated from Algonquin College bringing a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to patient care. With a strong commitment to promoting optimal oral health, she enjoys developing personalized strategies that empower patients to achieve their dental goals. Gabriela believes that education and support are key to fostering lasting habits and a positive dental experience.
Outside of dentistry, she enjoys relaxing playing video games with her friends, rock climbing, skiing, and walking her dog, Luna!
Nureet
Nureet is a dedicated dental hygienist who completed her hygiene diploma from Algonquin College. She is passionate about educating her clients on the importance of oral health, striving to empower them with practical tips for maintaining their tooth and gum health. Committed to client-centered care, she takes the time to explain the factors contributing to each individual’s dental issues.
Outside of work, Nureet enjoys spending quality time with her family and immersing herself in books. She dreams of traveling the world with her husband, exploring different cultures, and engaging in thrilling activities like zip-lining, skydiving, snorkeling, and paragliding.
The Dental Assisting Team
Zaria
Zaria believes that a visit to the dentist should begin and end with a smile, and nobody sets a better example than her! With her bubbly personality and warm disposition, Zaria is the sunshine you need in your day!
Zaria completed her Dental Assisting diploma with Willis College and has been a welcome and hardworking member of our team. Her cool under fire and steady approach keeps us running like a well-oiled machine.
Outside the office, Zaria can be found enjoying time with her friends and family, and indulging in some reality tv!
Nathaniel
Born in India, Nathaniel was raised in Dubai and Kuwait and completed Dental Assisting training at Algonquin College in Ottawa. Using the knowledge acquired from dental practice in other parts of the world, Nathaniel brings a unique outlook to dental practice.
Unlike most kids, he grew up watching cataract surgeries and IOL placements as his dad is an ophthalmic surgeon. This sparked interest in the medical field which later guided him to the dental field. Watching his father help serve the blind people in remote rural areas of India, he learned his purpose in life: caring for others using one’s God-given talents.
His burning passion for dentistry and his undying devotion to helping others coalesced to pursue a life as a dental assistant. In his spare time Nathaniel likes to decompress by indulging in anything art-related including martial arts.
Sterilization Technician
Beatris
Growing up in Ottawa since the age of four, I have cultivated a deep appreciation for art and creativity. I spent four years in college exploring various art programs, including graphic design and concept art, but my true passion lies in traditional mediums like acrylics and oils.
In addition to my artistic pursuits, I worked part-time as a receptionist, where I discovered an unexpected enjoyment in sterilization and the meticulous process of cleaning and packing tools.
When I’m not immersed in my art or work, I love to unwind by playing video games. I also enjoy exploring the local scene, whether it’s shopping or trying out different Asian restaurants.
The Doctors
Dr. Laryssa Caris
Dr. Laryssa Caris embodies the delicate balance of a doctor, engineer, and artist, as evidenced by her meticulous and skillful approach to dentistry.
Born and raised in Ottawa, Dr. Caris pursued her dental education at the University of Western Ontario. Eager to contribute to her hometown’s dental community, she joined the esteemed team at Conroy Dental Centre in 2014, considering it her true dental home. Dr. Caris is committed to continuous growth and enhancement of her skills, actively engaging in ongoing education, seminars, and training across various aspects of dentistry to remain at the forefront of her field.
With a passion for patient empowerment, Dr. Caris prioritizes active listening, clear communication, and attention to detail in her practice. She fosters open discussions with her patients about their oral health, encouraging them to take an active role in their dental care and decision-making process.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Caris cherishes quality time with her husband and two young sons. Whether watching movies, dancing, cooking up a storm (albeit avoiding the dishes), or enjoying the outdoors, she embraces life’s simple joys with enthusiasm and warmth.
Dr. Frédéric Lê
When he was accepted to Laval University for his dental studies, Dr. Frédéric Lê knew without a doubt in his mind that he wanted to return to Ottawa to practice. Despite being born in Montreal; he considers Ottawa as the city that nurtured him in to becoming the person that he is today.
He is methodical and attentive to details, a skill that he acquired when he was completing his Bachelor of Science in Biopharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Ottawa. This quality allows him to be thorough during dental treatments, and to develop his passion in photography and cooking.
Dr. Lê is a great communicator and will establish a relationship of trust between the patient and himself. He will take the time to listen to the patient’s need and explain the best possible treatment plan so that the patient can make the most informed decision. Since his graduation in 2013, Dr. Lê actively participates in continuing education courses in various fields of dentistry so that he can provide the highest level of care to his patients.
Outside of office hours, Dr. Lê practices many extreme sports such as “changing diapers one handed with a wiggling baby”, and mentally challenging games such as “negotiating bedtime hours and stories”.
