Invisalign®
Dr. Caris is happy to offer Invisalign® treatment to patients who are looking for an alternative to traditional braces/orthodontics. Invisalign is a good system for people looking for a way to discreetly straighten their teeth; however it is not for everyone. Anyone interested in orthodontics is required to have a consultation to assess what treatment type is best suited for them. For example, Invisalign® cannot be used for cases in which arch expansion is required. In cases like these and some others, traditional braces would most likely be the only treatment option. Invisalign® is recommended if you have:
- Gaps between your teeth
- Misaligned teeth
- Protrusive teeth
- Crowded teeth
- Uneven teeth
Treatment
The Invisalign® system is used to straighten teeth gradually over time through the use of clear, removable retainers referred to as “aligners”. After x-rays and moulds have been taken of your teeth, Dr. Camellato will have the necessary information to create a custom treatment plan. Your initial set of aligners will soon be delivered to our office and an appointment will be arranged for you. Your aligners will be placed at that time and every 4-6 weeks thereafter until treatment is complete.
